Banks Target Hunmanby PC
HUNMANBY PARISH COUNCIL PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING WITH BANKS.

South Dale is Back On The Agenda this week as Banks Renewables plan a visit to the Hunmanby Parish Council Planning Committee, We Believe This Will Be A Pitch To Sell The South Dale Wind Farm To The Committee, Interesting To See What Banks Propose & Our PC’s Response.

WEDNESDAY 5TH OCTOBER 2011 – 6.30PM
IN THE HUNMANBY COUNCIL CHAMBER, 35 STONEGATE.

No Thanks Mr Banks Yorkshire Deserves Better
As this is a normal parish council planning meeting we believe that everyone is entitled to attend this meeting as planning meetings are normally open meetings.

There are a number of other items on the agenda, Banks Renewables are last on the list and it has been requested that as many Parish Councillors attend as possible.

Although we may not get much of a say at this meeting it will be a great opportunity to Hear What Banks Are Trying To Sell Our Parish Council.

We would really like as many people as possible to attend this meeting as we need to stay strong and send out the message that Banks Renewables are not welcome  in our village, again Banks are doing thing’s behind the Community Panels back, this was not mentioned at Community Panel 2.

TWO FOR THE PRICE OF ONE – COMMUNITY PANEL 3.

Community Panel 2 was certainly lively and the developers Banks Renewables had to answer some awkward questions from the panel, for more on what happened at the last meeting. Click Here to see a report submitted by Local Hunmanby Resident Jane Copsey.

The meeting  also lead to a Couple of Great Articles in the Filey & Hunmanby Mercury about the offering of grants locally before the planning application has been granted and the fact that Banks Have Refused to Fund a Referendum as requested by Hunmanby Parish Council Chair Michelle Donohue-Moncrieff.

Banks have failed to let the village have it’s say so lets make sure we have one via the community panel, residents, councillors, press, all are welcome to attend.

THE NEXT COMMUNITY PANEL HAS JUST BEEN ANNOUNCED AND GUESS WHAT? THIS WEEK WE GET TWO FOR THE PRICE OF ONE.
THURSDAY 6TH OCTOBER 2011 – 6:30PM TO 10:00PM
HUNMANBY METHODIST CHURCH HALL.

  1. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to discuss our detailed concerns about turbine locations with Julian Cooper before the Panel meeting, (Thursday Oct 6, 10.30 till 2..00 at the Methodist Church Hall.) Our house is about 1 kilometer away from the nearest turbine shown on Banks’ original layout, and there are other houses closer still. Mr. Cooper is to be commended for giving residents a chance to find out about his latest thinking and study his photos. Of course we don’t know yet what his conclusions will be, and whether Banks will take them into account anyway…but the more information we can gather, the better. The Community Panel will be very interesting indeed.
